Prostate Cancer Treatments: Why You Should Avoid Dairy Foods
My Kidney Cancer 1995
When first diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer back in May 2006, I immediately thought of my previous experience with cancer in 1995 when It took my right kidney. On that occasion, because of lengthy delays in the diagnosis; its location on the kidney proper (it was well hidden at the rear of the kidney) together with its considerable size I had gone along with immediate surgery to remove it. Fortunately, I had a top flight surgeon who was able to remove the whole kidney without any major issues or with creating conditions conducive to the risk of cancer spread or metastasis.
A New Experience – No Need to Hurry
On this occasion fortunately, I had ample time to take stock of my situation noting in particular that prostate cancer is slow growing. I soon discovered also that cancer, and especially prostate cancer, is still very much a mystery to the medical profession with as many diverse opinions as to its cause, or causes, and there’s controversy too, over the correct or appropriate clinical solutions and treatment modalities.
That being the case, I was able to delay any decision-making to give me time to talk to other medical professionals, both directly and indirectly, and to men who had survived the experience. I also did a tremendous amount of research on the internet. I was amazed at the wealth of information on the net, much of it on websites and medical forums run by medical professionals. And it didn’t take long to work out which ones were representative of Big Pharma and those that were genuinely providing excellent health advice and guidance.
Sound Advice – Avoid Dairy Foods
Anyhow, one of the most critical bits of advice I gleaned very early on was to avoid all dairy foods. At first I questioned this because as we all know, the dairy food industry has always received tremendous support with health authorities bombarding us throughout past decades with “Milk is Good For You” literature and advertisements. Additional, more in-depth study convinced me the warning was a sound one – that I should stay away from dairy foods. And I do to this day.
Milk Was Killing Me!
On reflection, I did recall that during my British army days in the Malaya Emergency, I developed severe duodenal ulcers. For more than a year the army’s top medical specialist had placed me on a strict plain food diet but with plenty of milk. No alcohol at all – just milk, milk, milk.
My condition only worsened in that time and I had to fight against being sent back to the UK medically unfit for active service. Then that particular doctor returned home to Old Blighty and his replacement, a much junior doctor, immediately took me off milk and other dairy produce. To my great relief and considerable surprise, it took less than two months for me to have little or no pain or outward sign of the ulcers.
We Live And We Learn
Well, life is full of new experiences and we all must learn from them and gain new found knowledge as we grow old. Fortunately though, in this great age of technology and the internet we can circumvent normal times spans for this and acquire that knowledge quickly and easily. To that end I thought the two articles below worthy of your attention should you need further persuasion as to the wisdom of avoiding dairy foods.
If In Doubt Seek Out The Truth
Hey guys, If, after reading these two articles you need even further convincing, why not do some research on the manufacturing processes used to produce the individual dairy foods. Observe the nutritional difference between the raw product and the processed one. That, I feel sure, will make you first want to vomit – and then throw out all dairy foods from your fridge.
