Nature Itself Will Provide Prostate Cancer Treatment And Cure
It is very refreshing to read of scientists who firmly believe that the cure from cancer will come from nature itself, or as in this case, from under the oceans. Their aims for developing ‘natural’ medicines and not the drug company ‘synthesized’ chemical variety is to be applauded. We can but hope that Big Pharma does not get involved in any future funding, resulting in the inevitable scrapping of the research if the results cannot be ‘synthesized’ for marketing purposes. At the moment funding is in the hands of responsible entities as is indicated at the bottom of the article.

AL AIN // Researchers at the UAE University believe the key to new cancer treatments may be held by the most unlikely of creatures: the sea cucumber.
The scientists at the country’s premier medical research centre have found that the animal, which is closely related to starfish and sea urchins, produces several anti-cancer compounds, one of which has been used to eradicate cancerous tumours in mice.
