My Successful Treatment For Kidney Stones: Chanca Piedra
This post is somewhat off topic, having nothing to do with Prostate Cancer or Prostate Cancer Treatments. However, regular readers will recall that what I consider to be my main health concern of late – one that is above and beyond that of my aggressive prostate cancer – has been a large kidney stone.
KIDNEY STONE
Many years ago I experienced a kidney stone and I can assure you gents, it can be both excruciatingly painful and terribly debilitating. Moreover, kidney stones can lead to kidney disease if not treated promptly and effectively. I have to be mindful also that I only have one kidney. The right one was removed with cancer in 1995. And so for me, early treatment is even more imperative.
On one earlier ultrasound report my stone, located on the lower left lobe, was described as being 6mm in size and on a later report, 8mm. A sign that it was growing or possibly, that the measurements were simply the subjective interpretations of two different radiologists.
My urologist has described several surgical options to me and has referred me to my local hospital for review and ultimately, surgery. Based on hospital waiting lists in Queensland that could mean a wait of a year or two. Possible longer. A matter which is working to my advantage as you will note below,
SURGERY? A high risk for cancer patients
Surgery however, is the very last thing I want to be exposed to. This is because numerous studies have shown that for a patient with an existing cancer, all forms of surgery – to whatever part of the body – gives rise to a high risk of metastasis; caused by the release of cancer cells into the blood stream.
SKIN MELANOMA
In that context also, I am mindful that having previously experienced two skin Melanoma’s, the little bug is still present – hiding within the deeper recesses my body – just waiting for the opportunity to make its presence known again. Surgery could well make that happen.
HERBAL TREATMENT- CHANCA PIEDRA
Therefor, some months ago I determined to set about removing or otherwise dissolving the kidney stone naturally. My research led me a herb called, CHANCA PIEDRA, or, “Stone Breaker” in Spanish, and around April/May this year I started taking it in capsule form – two caps morning and night. Incidentally, I later mentioned this to a medical doctor over dinner. He laughed, politely dismissing the idea and said that I obviously had too much money to burn.
THE ‘STONE BREAKER’ SUCCEEDS!
Well, such is not the case but what I do have now is a recent CTscan, showing that my kidney stone, or calculi to use the medical term, as large as it was, is now two stones, not one. The measurement for each is given as 3.5mm and 1.5mm.
Wow! That is surely a magnificent result. Not only do I now have two smaller stones – more capable of being passed out of the body naturally – and their overall dimensions indicate that there is a considerable size reduction given that collectively they measure just 5mm, compared to the initial 6 – 8mm.
But the important thing is that the initial stone has broken up. Something not to be expected of a stone without some external influence… such as Chance Piedra.
My next meeting with my urologist is in early November (9th) and I shall be delighted to hear what he has to say about this exciting event. Meanwhile, I shall increase my daily dose to three 500mg capsules, thrice daily. Hopefully, this will expedite the breakup of the two stones even more.
