Vitamin D Essential Prostate Cancer Treatment
The undermentioned references bring to mind yet again just how beneficial vitamin D is for the prevention of Prostate cancer as well as for its treatment. It is well known that many people dying with prostate cancer have been found sorely deficient in vitamin D.
Fortunate as I am to live in Queensland, where the sun seems to shine 95% of the time, I am able to get ample vitamin D with my twice daily walks, early morning and late afternoon, and yet I still endeavour to sunbathe briefly around lunch time (“Only mad dogs of Englishmen go out in the mid day sun”) to ensure I get the sun to my nether regions for direct application to the prostate area. Not sure of the actual benefit but it sure feels good… grin.
Natural health experts identified the health benefits if vitamin D many years ago and it seems the medical profession is slowly catching up now that many researchers in the scientific world are moving away from their previous, one-eyed, devotion to pharmaceuticals and turning their attention toward finding ‘natural’ cures. Bravo!
The following articles, although unrelated to prostate cancer per se, nevertheless supports the vitamin D thesis.
