Omega-3 Fatty Acids Aids Prostate Cancer Treatments
I think you will agree that it is a well founded fact that a poor diet has a lot to do with the development of cancer and conversely, a sensible diet is a major component in the successful treatment of cancer.
Well, the following research item, although somewhat limited in both size and scope, tends to confirm yet again that Omega-3 fatty acids, obtained particularly from dark fish and shellfish, is of considerable benefit in preventing prostate cancer, even the more aggressive type.
Unfortunately, the report doesn’t appear to say if consuming omega-3 fatty acids in sufficient volumes would be of any help to men already with aggressive prostate cancer (Gleason score of 7 and above). However, it does say that omega-3 fatty acids may help alleviate inflammation, so it is my guess that in doing that it would certainly help.

Today’s quote Humour:
A man elects to have a prostatectomy (removal of the prostate) and asks the surgeon to try to spare the nerves that produce an erection. Well, he goes into surgery and wakes up in the recovery room and sees his doctor.
Man: So how did it go?
Doctor: I’ve got good news and bad news.
Man: Give me the good news first.
Doctor: We were able to save the nerves.
Man: That’s great news! What’s the bad news?
Doctor: They’re under your pillow
