Natural and Alternative Prostate Cancer Treatments Blog
I found the under mentioned blog, strangely called “Soul Healer”, very interesting and for readers just exploring the benefits and advantages of treating your prostate cancer with natural or alternative treatments, it presents a fairly good overview and cites good examples of where alternative therapy has proven to be very successful.
As you will realize, I follow the alternative medicine route myself as pure logic tells me that where such medicines have been used by different cultures for thousands of years, there is more than sufficient evidence to adopt them for current day use. Especially as they can now be tested using modern science. The article makes the point that alternative medicine comes directly from nature itself and it non-toxic, whereas every drug or method offered by traditional medicine is toxic and harmful in the extreme.
I would also mention that up to 80% of the treatment modalities offered by traditional medicine have been developed, and continue to be developed, on a trial and error basis. With you the patient being the guinea pig. Similarly, many of today’s drugs move from the developmental stage, through testing and production into the public arena, with a public release decision by the FDA, based not on safety criteria but on commercial reasons, to the direct benefit of the manufacturer, not the public. Hence, so many drugs kill so many people before they are quietly withdrawn.
We might as well call the the “Suck and See” principle. The patient sucks on the drug and the Food and Drug Administration FDA hope to see a good result. But it might take many years for enough poor or disastrous results to be recorded to the point where anyone will take notice. Remember too, that the FDA gets about 70% of its income directly from drug manufacturers and so it will not want to confront or embarrass those who pay the piper. Moreover, once the FDA releases a drug into the community it is not in its own interests to admit it was wrong to do so.
Enough reasons to give very careful consideration to your available treatment options I would thought.
See the article titled: “CANCER TREATMENTS – The truth about Conventional and Natural Methods” published on the blog Soul Healer, dated July 8 2009 written by Tanya Harter Pierce (USA)
“Orthodox medical practitioners like to give the impression that they have conquered sickness with science but there are, at a conservative estimate, something in the region of 18,000 known diseases for which there is still no effective treatments – let alone cures. Even when treatments do exist their efficacy is often in question. A 1991 report in the British Medical Journal concluded that 85% of medical and surgical treatments have never been properly tested”.
