MEDICAL device companies have spent millions of dollars on a campaign – including secret deals with scores of Australian doctors – aimed at increasing the number of implants put into Australian patients.
The revelations come amid fears some implants have had poor testing or monitoring by the Federal Government, exposing thousands of patients to risk.
