Breast Cancer: A little knowledge can be dangerous
Getting away from prostate cancer treatments for a moment I was particularly taken by the following article which apart from its openness displays a refreshing approach from Dr. Hannah Brooks, the new director of breast surgery services at St. Luke’s Cornwall Medical Center. Refreshing in as much as Dr. Brooks is obviously prepared to look at the healing potential not only of complimentary medicine but also, alternative.
Pragmatism such as hers – evidenced by the depth of her inquiry and knowledge – within the medical profession is hard to come by. Far too many medical professionals stick rigidly to the dogma instilled into them during their formative years, rarely daring to step outside the box.
In bringing this to you I am mindful of course, that this item has special import to our wives, many of whom have their own issues with cancer.
