We read so much good news about the latest, tried and tested, radical prostatectomy procedures but seldom do we hear about the side affects of any one of them. You have to search on the net for them; more particularly by discussing it with ‘victims’ complaining about their experiences on cancer site forums.

It pays to remember that all new procedures involve new technologies and that it is the manufacturer who invariably disseminates the blurb about the efficacy of the equipment and procedure, not the medical professional. And when one is selling a product, who wants to talk about potential side-effects, known or unknown?
