Medical Journals Publish 21 Fabricated Research Papers
Again today, I an going away from our preferred topic of Prostate cancer treatments but these off-topic items are nevertheless very important in helping each of us make the correct decisions when tossing up whether to rely on modern medicine or natural or alternative therapies to help us on our way. To recovery that is. Without being able to weigh up the good and the bad of either route how then can one make an informed decision? It is with that in mind that I extend cover to these issues.
In an earlier post I referred to numerous medical journals exhibiting extreme editorial bias toward drug companies advertising in their journals and at the expense of truth or editorial freedoms. The following article is a little different but does, nevertheless, evidence a further lack of editorial integrity in the publication of 21 peer reviewed research papers without question.
Could such open, unquestioning faith in the authenticity or veracity of these reports have something to do with the fact that two major drug companies, Pfizer and Merck, heavy advertisers and paymasters of the author, Dr. Scott Reuben, were also heavily involved in marketing drugs benefiting from the research?
Yes, of course it does. Moreover, it further evidences just how ruthless drug companies can be to get their drugs – be they good, bad or indifferent – into the market place
