Answers to Cancer Prevention

This fairly comprehensive document from WebMD.com has some very important and generally accepted advice for lifestyle choices that will help protect you from the risk of cancer. However, I’d be a little circumspect about the advice against taking supplements though. A supplement can be either something natural and quite harmless - without bad side effects - or something synthetic ‘out of Big Pharma’s chemical factory’. And as your doctor will tell you “All pharmaceutical drugs have side effects”. You just won’t know what they are until you consume the drug.

In the USA every year, over one hundred thousand people die from the affects of taking their normal dose of prescription drugs, whereas there are no recorded deaths from taking ‘natural’ supplements. Think about it!

Here’s another point to consider. The best protection against any form of cancer, or any other disease for that matter, is a fully optimized immune system. And it is well researched that cancer sufferers are invariably found to be deficient in vitamin D, magnesium and selenium. A good enough reason for the judicious use of supplements, I would have thought.
