MY HEART DIET REGIMEN
Following several online inquiries it became evident to me that I had not earlier mentioned what changes I had made to my diet that had effectively helped me avoid heart surgery last year. That’s now a little hard for me to do precisely as I did not make notes at the time and besides, I do tend to dance around a bit with these things. I have had to balance what is right for my prostate cancer, potential heart issues, high blood pressure and now, a kidney stone to boot. What is good for one problem is not necessarily good for the others.
Anyhow, my darling wife has assured me that this list is almost verbatim.
This regimen undoubtedly worked for me but that does not mean, of course, that it’ll work for others. We are all so different. It will certainly support the immune system so that’s a major plus. There is nothing harmful in this list though the jury is still out as to how much selenium constitutes a ‘safe’ dose.
This is essentially a low fat, low sugar, low sodium regimen
No red meats, definitely no processed meats
No dairy foods (I use Oat milk and Rice milk)
Green tea or lemon grass tea
Oil blends of 3 – 6 – 9 and/or cod liver oil
Fish caught locally – twice weekly
Fruit and fresh raw vegetable juices made fresh daily
Dark chocolate only (good for the heart – works like aspirin)
Fresh fruits and nuts
Brown bread (organic)
Free range chicken (organic only)
Green vegetable when convenient – raw and organic
Beetroot (good for blood pressure)
Kakadu juice 60 ml per day (high in anti-oxidants, resveratrol and vitamin C)
Supplements:
Olive Leaf Extract: 5ml x 2 daily (helps cleans arteries and reduce BP)
Magnesium tabs
Vitamin E (Natural only)
Selenium colloid concentrate (selenium methionine) recommended doze 200 mcg daily. Or, eat 4 Brazil nuts daily. I have doubled the dose for 12 months, to treat my cancer, with no ill effect.
Colloidal trace minerals – concentrate
Organic essential greens: Spirulina; Barley Grass, or Wheat Grass
CO-Enzyme Q10
I AVOIDED: Tobacco, smoking (passive too), alcohol and stress
ESSENTIAL EXERCISE: 2 km walk daily – often double that
Get sunlight exposure. 30 minutes plus daily for
Vitamin D
Note: Of the items mentioned above, I place particular importance for coronary dilation and for the heart itself on the followig:
Olive Leaf Extract, Co-Enzyme Q10, Green tea, Oils 3 -6 -9 and raw vegetable.
