Decades of Research Shows Media Violence Spurs Real Violence
Hey guys! I’m going off on a tack with this post as it has little to do directly with health matters, except perhaps in the most extreme, physical sense. Having worked all my life within military, policing and multi-national companies; managing crime issues and major risk areas, I have always firmly held that people subjected to visual acts of violence in films, videos, computer games and such, can subconsciously become immune to it - even subliminally mesmerized by it - and are more likely to perform - or become participants - in acts of violence.
And now this report confirms all my fears…
This is a serious public order issue and should no longer be swept under the carpet in deference to commercial interests. I’m sure you will agree when you read this report…
