Prostate Cancer, PSA and Blood Count Update

Well guys, in an earlier post I gave you an update on my health issues and in another post, (on 1st November, titled “Kakadu Juice The New Australian Superfood” I mentioned my intention of taking the Kakadu Juice ( made by Kakadu International, Australia) once I had had a couple of medical tests performed. The two tests; one being a total blood count and the other an ultra-sound measurement of my prostate gland would give me a current position statement that I can measure against later, say in 3 or 4 months time. In this way I would be able to judge the benefits accorded me by the Kakadu Juice over the period.

As you will have noted by my writings, I feel that I have already beaten the conventional system, particularly as regards my heart and artery problem, through the regular use of alternative therapies and supplements so it will be no surprise to you that having thoroughly examined the Kakadu Juice formula, as best I can that is, I am more than confident that it will be of tremendous benefit to me, helping me maintain, and even improve, my general well-being.

That said, I can now report the results of my tests which are a bit of a mixed bag, really.
You will recall that in 1995 I had had my cancerous right kidney removed and so the remaining one has had to take up the slack and do the work of two. Well, that normally means that the kidney will tend to grow bigger than normal in the process, and that is so in my case. But I already knew that of course. What I didn’t know, because I have no indicative symptoms, is that I now have a 6mm calculus (kidney stone) in the lower portion of it. Bugger!!

This news creates a new set of problems for me. One of the reasons I had earlier refused any form of invasive treatment from doctors’ for my heart issues was that my research tells me that there is a high probability, based on German medical research, that any form of invasive surgery - no matter where on the body it takes place - will cause any existing cancer to metastasize. Unfortunately, I may have to now accept that risk because I can see no other option with regards my kidney stone. It has to come out. I simply can’t risk leaving it there to further contaminate my one kidney or move down into my urinary track. I know all about that. It hurts believe me! I’ll be discussing this with my urologist on 13th December.

That was the bad news. The good news is that my blood tests were quite brilliant with all but five of the 45 markers being within normal range. The exceptions were only slightly out of kilter and I should be able to put them right.

As for my PSA count, it has gone down to 10.7 from a reading of 13.0 last May. Now that, in itself, is of little significance but the fact that it has not shot up to the 100’s or the 1000’s is. Additionally, although the surface area of the gland is described as showing echo-texture there is no visual sighting of identifiable cancer on the external surface, which, of course, is good news. How good I won’t know until I check it out with my Urologist mid-December. Could my cancer-killing regimen be working, I wonder?

Unfortunately, the gland has doubled in size, measuring 6 x 5.5 x 4.9cm with a volume of 85cc. I am giving these details only so that fellow travelers can compare their own situation, of course. As I understand it, prostate glands do tend to increase in size after middle age and for many men, continue to grow thereafter. Having had prostate problems since having had my kidney removed in 1995, it has had plenty of time to grow since then. It will only become a problem if, or when, it blocks off the base of the bladder or the urethra. So far – so good!

Anyhow, as far as the Kakadu Juice is concerned I’m home free and have already started, consuming 30 mils twice a day. It is truly delicious. I’m now in my third day AND I’m feeling great- but that’s normal. Over the coming days I will probably adjust my current health regimen to take into account the addition of the Kakadu Juice but first, I want to see the affect without any changes to my regimen. Hopefully, I will find the right balance.

More at the next opportunity…
