Blood Pressure Down - Update
I’m a tad late with this update, being Easter and all. Moreover, I simply wanted a spell away from the computer.
My meeting with my family doctor didn’t enlighten me much, although she did diligently go through my heart scan results and the earlier hospital report with me. The upshot of all this is that, yes, my heart has been slightly damaged but, no, it is not likely to have any material effect on my future health. The proof in the pudding though could well be the ‘Exercise Stress Test’ that I will undertake on Thursday of this week. The test will assess the capability and efficiency of my heart, lungs and blood vessels under stress, performed on a treadmill.
Oh, that’ll be fun! It’ll be interesting to see how far I get with it, given my other health issues.
One quite positive aspect since my overnight hospital stay is that my blood pressure has reduced, on average, by about ten points, on both, systolic and diastolic readings. Not sure why though. Perhaps they gave me a much needed de-coke.
I have carefully analyzed my full blood count results today, with the aid of a medical web site and, it would seem, my excellent results give no indication of my prostate cancer having yet spread to my bones, as was feared last May. I could be wrong but my impression is that several of the blood count markers would have shown evidence of that if it was the case. I hope I am correct with that assumption. Time will tell, huh?
