Things Are Looking Good!
Well Guys, It seems that my luck has really held. My recent thrombosis and subsequent heart scare appears not to have caused much damage. I will not know for sure until I visit my own doctor on Thursday as my hospital discharge summary really doesn’t say much. I presume a formal report will go to my own doctor.
But what I do know is that my echocardiogram, performed yesterday, came up trumps showing only minor damage to the heart. Again, I can’t qualify that until I get professional opinion but it is possible, I guess, that the damage was pre-existing.
As to my general condition, you may recall that I had a full blood count just a couple of weeks ago which produced very favorable results, all markers being mid-range. Well, the hospital kindly repeated the full blood count exercise and the results were duplicated. Not a single area of concern. To me that is significant, very significant. It shows clearly that my diet and holistic regimen is not only keeping me on an even keel, it is undoubtedly maintaining, and probably enhancing, my immune system. It sure feels that way to me.
In spite of my recent mishap I am on top of the world and feeling quite positive about everything. I can see though that I am probably going to be told to greatly reduce my computer time, as that, as you may well know, is said to be a major cause of thrombosis, particularly, deep vein thrombosis (DVT). I had this very problem investigated only a couple of weeks ago, on the 19 March, when I had what the written report calls “Bilateral Lower Limb Venous Duplex Study.” Or in other words: an ultra-sound scan of the legs. That examination came up negative but I am now wondering if anything was overlooked.
I’ll discuss that aspect with my doctor, tomorrow.
Well, that’s it for now. I’ll update you again tomorrow.
