My General Health and Regimen
My health continues to show no actual indicating of prostate cancer. I do feel somewhat uncomfortable in the nether-regions from time to time, especially when walking, but I have had that for at least 6 years so perhaps there is no connection. Though maybe that was when my prostate cancer started to develop? I wonder?
Thankfully, my homeopath has all but resolved my water-works problem and my last hemorrhage was 3 weeks ago and a strange one at that. It consisted of just one very thick and quite solid, dark blood clot, at least 70mm in length, but with no actual blood in the stream. The previous occasion to that was exactly one month earlier when there was a considerable amount of blood in the stream.
My homeopath is endeavouring to fix this problem too and if she does it’ll be a marvelous thing because I have had this unexplained hemorrhaging for four years or so. I say “unexplained” because 2 urologists have not been able to find the source of the leak, nor its cause. So they simply have no remedy.
Yet another mystery is the unexplained variation in my blood pressure from time to time. Take this month for example. From the 1st to the 25th my blood pressure readings’, mean average, was 146/86, (lowest 125/87 and highest 158/89) whereas, during the past two days, it was 126/77, (lowest 105/63 and the highest 144/88).
Incidentally, I note the mean average for September was 143/88.
I can think of no rational explanation to this periodic change. Further, it seems strange to me that my lower pressures occur after exercise, whatever the range, where logic dictates it should be a higher reading. But of course, I could well be wrong in that assumption.
Am I taking prescription medicine to help control it? Yes, I am. Karvea (Irbesartan) 300mg daily, though frankly, I can’t say that I have noticed any discernible difference, whether on it or off it.
I will obviously need to study the mechanics of blood pressure diligently to find the answer. Having said that I have noted that what constitutes: high, medium and low blood pressure, differs from country to country, so if the global medical fraternity can’t agree on its classification, what hope have I? We shall see.
A ring of excessive fat tissue around the groin area, which started growing about 4 years ago and since then had gradually spread from left to right, has lost its hardness and appears to be diminishing in both size and thickness.
My energy levels are high, my brain is functioning normally (well, I think so – others may differ) and my memory, both short and long term, has improved out of sight. As for my attention span, well, my dear wife would attest that it’s good, in fact probably too good. She says that when I am at the computer the world could end and I wouldn’t know it – unless a news flash popped up on the screen. She could be right there.
My only physical and mental limitations are caused not by my cancer, but by my various cervical disk problems (severe spondylosis), whereby physical or mental stress can have a painful and deleterious affect throughout my day and often, my night too. But that is something I have to live with. I’m certainly not going to submit myself to a series of major surgical operations with the end result being a totally stiff neck. But I’m quite convinced that my present regimen is definitely giving me some positive results in this regard, so that’s cool.
Even being minus my gall bladder, right kidney and most of my thyroid seems not to have any ill effect on my well-being and day to day activity.
So, all in all, I am very pleased with my present position. In December, I will visit my urologist again for a blood/PSA test and a review. Prior to that I will also have some scans taken on my lungs and liver to monitor the progress of the so-called nodules identified first in 2000, thought then to be metastasis. I like to keep a watchful eye on them.

- Please note that the above list is somewhat changed from the earlier one but change comes, I guess, with experience over time together with cost considerations. Cost is the most prohibitive factor of all when setting up and maintaining a suitable regimen. One can only do the best one can in that regard but no doubt the high cost would discourage the feint hearted.
As I continue my research I often come across new information or a cancer treatment product and I can’t help but research its appropriateness for my purpose, qualify it as best I can for its efficacy and then seek it out for testing. That and the fact too that I am uncomfortable staying with one particular product over any lengthy period. The reliability, or otherwise, of most products as to their ingredients, volumes and quality must always be considered.
