PSA Results Tomorrow.

Yes, the day is coming when I will know if my own efforts, and more particularly, those of my wife, have had any positive effect on my PSA readings. My only PSA reading to-date was 7.30 in late May but I really didn’t get stuck into my holistic regimen until about the second week of June. So there might not have been enough time since then for the programme to take effect. Tomorrow, we will know.

Meanwhile, my blood pressure is playing havoc. Supposedly, night time BP’s should be markedly lower than those in the daytime. I wonder who wrote that? My own BP’s range from a low of 132/77 to a whopping 182/105, with some of the highest readings at night. Problem is a lack of consistency. My BP’s can change 20 points within an hour - up or down.

The range I have is, I believe, classified as being in the hypertension Stage Two (moderate) level, bordering on the stage three (severe). Whatever, I can’t let it continue unabated as there can be a risk of coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, stroke and also, a risk to other parts of the body, including the eyes, legs and kidneys. For me make that singular as I have donated one kidney to the surgeons scalpel already and I am rather partial to the one I’ve got.

Apparently, about 5% of all hypertension cases can be identified back to a disease or illness but with the other 95% that is not so. The cause or causes are never fully known or understood.

And so this morning I decided to start again on the doctor prescribed Karvea Tabs 300mgs. I am also taking readings every hour over a 24 hour period as I understand that that is the only way to get a meaningful reading.

I will, of course, discuss my concerns with my urologist tomorrow, just in case the BP is prostate related and also, go for a chat with my regular doctor later in the week
