My Daughter’s Hospital Saga Continues
In an earlier segment I mentioned how my daughter had been admitted to hospital numerous times with suspected food poisoning, since the 1st of the month.
Well, I regret to say that yesterday, Saturday 12th she was admitted to the emergency ward of the local general hospital yet again. There she was seen to quite quickly by the triage nurse and then a doctor who put her straight back on to a drip again. Later in the day she was transferred to a nearby private hospital for further treatment, primarily because of the lack of available beds in the general hospital but also, because her HCF membership entitles her to private hospital admittance.
This then, now means that since the first of the month she has been admitted five times to the general hospital and twice to a private hospital without having a decisive analysis of her condition.
After further tests, doctors apear no closer to finding the cause of her illness but latest results do show a new problem having developed in her liver. One that had not shown up on previous tests.
If indeed it is food poisoning, as was first indicated, then it has some very unusual elements to it, which have the doctors quite flummoxed.
What else can I say? Other than this unfortunate episode confirms once again, that for me, the holistic way is the way to go in battling my cancer.
Doctor: The tests show that your cancer is advanced. You have six months to live.Patient: But, doc, I can’t pay off my medical bills in six months. Doctor: In that case, you have six months more
.
Post Note: Monday 14th August. My daughter’s health greatly improved. Came off the saline drip today but still on the antibiotic drip and had more blood taken this morning for testing. She’ll have an ultrasound check of her liver this afternoon. Still no proper diagnosis but we’re getting closure to one with each test - we would hope.
