The following list of natural health products were purchased with a twofold aim. Firstly, I wanted to use products that would boost my immune system to its maximum level and to have the means of keeping it there, secondly, use products that specifically target cancer cells in order to kill them, or at a minimum, inhibit or retard their spread and growth.

The above list probably comprises items that are not really necessary or are duplicated, in terms of their ingredients, by others on the list. My early anxiety may well have caused me to over-buy.

My task now is to have a re-think and reduce the number of items to a more manageable level, keeping in mind the ongoing cost factor as well as the rather trying ritual of consuming so many pills and liquids each day.

Close monitoring is important also with regard to some products, such as Selenium, which is very effective in the treatment of prostate cancer, but is toxic in large dozes.

I sometimes wonder if the overall cost of natural therapy actually drives people to instead take the conventional medical route where much of the cost is absorbed by government health benefits.
